It is now twenty years since Cohen and Boyer's first steps into DNA cloning. The future of basic molecular biology must lie in the ability to analyze DNA (and especially the genes within it) starting at the DNA level. This volume provides a set of protocols for the analysis of cloned genes. A set of techniques is described for the basic manipulation and mutagenesis of the cloned sequences.
