MGT in a retirement home: Art and design therapy residential nursing home for the elderly

This work is based on a painting and art therapy project in a group setting, within the framework of a residential and nursing home for elderly people. Three women and one man took part in the project.... This impressive work clearly demonstrates the value of using these methods in working with elderly and very elderly people in terms of joie de vivre and a sense of purpose. In this work, the author demonstrates a solid theoretical foundation and practical, methodological competence. The author's professional engagement with the target group in advance, her broad theoretical foundation and her self-reflexivity underline the therapist's professional approach to the challenges in this project. The participants were accompanied through this project with empathy and mindfulness, and the reader is presented with touching moments of lived creativity and creative joie de vivre in old age...
