Mile Marker 33: 3

An FBI profiler thriller pitting a spread-thin agent against a long-haul trucker who murders the motorists who cross him. Highway-noir suspense with a killer's ritual, an accelerating body count and help that comes at a price. They Cut Him Off. He Cuts Them Down. The Highwayman delivers death along America's interstates. Road rage is his ritual, his obsession. Always at mile marker 33. Always brutal. His crimes span the nation's highways, and his gruesome deliveries are accelerating. Special Agent Meredeth Connelly is spread too thin, hunting a killer who's miles away before anyone knows he's killed again. He's got full tanks. She's riding on empty. Eighteen wheels. One crowbar. Forty tons of rolling death. It'll take a killer's insight to catch The Highwayman. But that kind of help always carries a price, and this time it may be more than Connelly can pay. Mile Marker 33 is a Meredeth Connelly Mind Hunt Thriller, a serial-killer FBI procedural, for readers who love profiler heroines, highway noir, killer's-eye chapters and uneasy alliances. Perfect for fans of Tess Gerritsen, Karin Slaughter and John Sandford.
