Six years after Milo's university freshman year, the young Derby heir sustains a career ending rowing injury that forces him to reevaluate his future. Desperate to start a business of his own instead of his father's, Milo searches for a loan. No bank in Palas will finance him. His partners' fathers are also unwilling to invest. Milo turns his gaze to Emberlina Tilby, an infamous mobster known for side hustles. After her ignominious end to university, Daw has stifled under the employ of Lady Emberlina Tilby. She flitted between the worst tasks the lady assigned, with each ending in conflict. Now, she finds herself at odds with Tilby's football gaffer. Her love of the beautiful game keeps her behavior in check, but for how long? The two are thrust together once again as cross purposes collide.
