Milo and Twig

A beautiful and heartwarming story of a boy and a bird who have much in common but ultimately need freedom to be happy. The day Twig falls out of his nest, he meets a boy called Milo. Milo cares for Twig, building him a new nest in his home, tending to his broken wing and introducing him to his flock. Twig sings his appreciation to Milo as his wing heals, and they become the best of friends. But Twig is still a bird and soaring with Milo on his bike just isn't the same as spreading his wings in the air. He stops singing, leaving Milo with a hard decision about the last thing his best friend needs to heal. Milo and Twig is a child-centred depiction of what it means when someone says, "If you love something, let it go."
