Mirroring Echoes

Hello there! Mirroring Echoes is not just your ordinary book of poetry. You see, it is much more than that. As we explore sensitive themes throughout the book, embark on this journey of emotional vulnerability. As humans, we go through love, heartbreak, trauma, dark moments, and rebirth. In my hybrid free-verse and prose poetry, I Xavier Villafane have gone through battles of depression, betrayal, struggling with my identity and PTSD, and being in toxic love situations, which shows how even our darkest moments can lead us to the greatest change when we take that leap.Through hope, resilience, healing, and growth, each poem is a mirror reflecting what we go through daily. While some go through more than others, we must take the time to understand ourselves. Healing and pain go hand in hand, and searching for strength, pride, honor, redemption, or change, these poems, pages, and learning from our human experiences and emotions tell a tale that, regardless of where you are in life, never forget that you have time despite fearing the lack thereof.
