Missing in Ashland Lake: An Lake Mystery: 1

Investigative journalist Christy Hancock listened to the disturbing voicemail message from her aunt, begging Christy to come to Ashland. Leaving several messages for her aunt that she's coming, Christy arrives at Aunt Molly's home expecting dinner to be ready. No one is there; the house is empty. Molly's purse and cell phone are in the house and her car is parked in its usual place. Christy is frantic, This is eerily similar to the time when her cousin Rob disappeared without a trace more than a dozen years ago. Molly's mysterious new neighbor Peter Sinkowski offers to help, but Christy senses that he's hiding secrets of his own. It doesn't help that Peter goes out of his way to avoid the local sheriff. Should she trust him even though he admits he's not being entirely truthful? Christy needs to stay in the area and convinces her boss that her television crew should film a story about Ashland Lake as an interesting place for family vacations. But is a location where human remains are found in an abandoned coal mine a safe place for families to visit?
