More Of Jesus...Less Me!

f there is anything we can take away from John the Baptist and the powerful Spirit-led life he lived, it is this: He quickly pointed to Christ, the Lord. In essence, John was saying, I am not alive today for my sake; my life is about promoting the life of Jesus -nothing else! John adds by saying, I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to lose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.In the following chapters, God has put in my heart a few principles about what it means to desire more of Christ's characteristics and how one must enter a life of deeper brokenness. To have more of Jesus, one must die more to self. There is no way around this. I hear believers crying out, Jesus, give me more of You! I can almost hear Jesus saying, You, give me more of you, and you will have more of me! More of Jesus, Less of Me! Has been written to lift the hungry servant of Jesus to a higher ground in the knowledge of Christ, producing a more profound impact on him and those who hear Him.
