Bol This study, which focuses on investigating the morphological characteristics of goats in the commune of Thomazeau, is intended to contribute to the development of goat farming in Haiti. The study was carried out across all localities and settlements in the two sections involved in the study. Two hundred and fifty (250) goats took part in the study, broken down as follows: 55% adult females, 4% bucks, 8% kids and 33% young females. The parameters considered in this study are classified into two categories. Quantitative data such as height at the withers, chest circumference and body length, and qualitative data such as coat colour and others. To carry out this study, simple random sampling was used, given that the farming system is virtually homogeneous and the size of the goat population in the area is known. The results of the qualitative parameter measurements show that the data vary greatly depending on the individual in question. Similarly, the quantitative parameters also vary. The majority of the goats are of the brevilinear type (50.4%).
