Mosaic

Mosaic presents a compendium of images, including landscapes and portraits, all drawn from the author's extensive photographic archive, in celebration of a lifetime's engagement with the people and places of our diverse planet. Mosaic, the sixth and final volume in Sean Palfrey's photography series, is filled with some of the author's favourite images: an Indonesian fishing boat at rest on a sandy beach in the glow of dusk; a tangle of leaves that look, for a second, like the bared teeth of a fearsome beast; a bright and joyful children's mural, replete with birds and rainbows; and the grey-blue and apricot tints of a canyon wall, scoured by time and weather. This book is a mosaic, with images of animals, trees and plants, landscapes both stark and beautiful, and portraits, too, all of them gathered over a lifetime of travel and a close engagement with the people and places of our diverse planet.
