MOSELLE: The Eternal Waters

Seventeen years after a devastating storm tore through their hometown, Christy and Brent Knight have built the life they once dreamed of careers, a home, and a long-awaited baby girl. Then Moselle appears at their door. Seventeen, barefoot, strangely calm, and impossibly good with their daughter, Moselle seems like the answer to a desperate need for summer childcare. But there is something unsettling about the girl. She knows things no stranger should know. Family histories no one remembers telling her. Songs belonging to people long dead. Secrets buried beneath decades of silence. And wherever Moselle goes, the water seems to remember. Fog gathers where it shouldn't. Storms rise from clear skies. Rain falls with impossible precision. As Christy and Brent search for a rational explanation, their unease slowly becomes fear-and fear has a way of turning every mystery into a threat. But the people of their hometown don't see a monster. They see the strange orphan girl who has spent her life comforting the dying, remembering the forgotten, and sitting beside those everyone else has abandoned. As one impossible summer closes around the Knight family, they must decide whether Moselle is something to fear-or whether their terror is preventing them from seeing what has been standing in front of them all along. Moselle: The Eternal Waters is a supernatural gothic tragedy about memory, rejection, family, and the terrible consequences of deciding what someone is before ever asking who they are.
