Bol Mother Goose grew up. Apparently, so did her problems.Mother Goose in Modern Times takes familiar nursery-rhyme characters and drops them into a decidedly more modern-and considerably more absurd-world.With playful twists, unexpected outcomes, and a grown-up sense of humor, Debra G. Jaffe reimagines the characters many of us remember from childhood. The results may be ridiculous, irreverent, and occasionally outrageous, but that is precisely the point. This is not a children's nursery-rhyme book. It is adult humor for readers who grew up with Mother Goose and are ready to discover what might have happened after childhood ended.Even Humpty Dumpty finds a way to make himself useful.Mother Goose will never seem quite the same again.
