Multilingualism and cultural diversity in our globalising world are assets that are still not sufficiently valued in this country. However, the opportunity to experience a wide variety of cultures and languages should be seen as a resource, and every person should be accepted within their own culture and language. Dangerous half-truths all too often lead to stigmatisation. This book aims to dispel these prejudices and raise awareness of the issue of a multicultural society in Europe. We want to start with the very youngest children; that is why this book focuses on working with nursery school children and aims to teach them to treat one another with respect, so that the validity of prejudices is questioned from the outset and the boys and girls are empowered to stand up for themselves and their fellow human beings.
