The murder of Shalhevet Pass was the killing of a ten-month-old Israeli infant by a Palestinian terrorist on March 26, 2001 that became a "potent Israeli symbol as an innocent victim of the raging violence".Shalhevet Pass (Hebrew: ¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿) was shot in the head and killed by a Palestinian sniper while seated in her stroller on the streets of Hebron, where she and her family lived. Shalhevet's father, Yitzchak Pass, who was pushing the stroller, was also wounded by the same bullet. It is believed the snipers were intentionally targeting the baby. The murder of Shalhevet Pass, which came relatively early in the Al-Aqsa Intifada, produced vocal outrage in Israel and abroad.
