Murder On The Forbidden Islands

A murder mystery set on a group of deserted islands near Madeira, where visitors have been banned for centuries. A group of friends on a break from university defy this ban and sail to the islands in search of adventure. They soon learn why they are called The Forbidden Islands when one of their little group is horribly murdered. They learn of Selkies, those mysterious shape-shifting creatures who transform from seals to beautiful girls and handsome men when they leave the sea, and they feel their wrath when they trespass in their sanctuary and steal one of their precious artefacts. Their lives are threatened, and it is up to the twin girls, Maia and Mara, who feel strangely drawn to the islands, to save their friends from a terrible fate. In doing so, they learn of long-hidden family secrets.
