Bol A young Montreal father heads out on a whim to sell Christmas Trees in New York City. But it's all gone backwards. Junkies, parties, the glitz, the drugs, the thieves and the business partner: nothing goes as planned. But everything is interesting. Meaning sprouts out of methadone bottles, hockey games, knife fights and jazz tapes. Mad Dog, Marilyn, Mike and Snoop... just a few of the endearing and broken characters in New York that colour this love letter to the streets of Manhattan, and reflection on what true love, true compassion and a true life, truly means. Welcome to Christmas in a mistletoe-ridden gutter."Alain Mercieca is the Chekhov of St-Henri.. .with touches of Seinfeld." - Byron Tobien, Theatre Critic Westmount Examiner
