The book includes five chapters written by Peter’s father, as well as historic documents, and is supported by further research by the author into some of Dartmoor’s buildings and artifacts. Prompted by a 1958 photograph, the history of a remote Dartmoor farmhouse is researched, questioning previously published information. A compelling look back at Dartmoor’s recent history, observing how it has changed over the last sixty years.
