When I tell folks I don't believe or practice any religion since I was eleven, they would look astonished and ask where were my parents. My mother was present, and that does not mean we did not attend church because most people of her generation believed that, if they listened to the priest, they would end up in heaven. When I became self-reliant, this was my decision, but ironic as it may sound, I did introduce my children to attending church but never introduced them to any religion. I left this decision for them to make when they became adults, and as I have noticed, most of my kids are not attached to any religious group.I deeply believe in God, that he/she is the creator of all things, because it was the Creator's hands that brought me to the place where my dreams came true in a roundabout way. I was first blessed with the skill to get the job, which placed me ten minutes in an apartment away from the school where my dream would come true.I wrote this book to inspire young and the not so young since it does not matter where your journey started. What matters is how you arrive at your destination. If you truly believe in your dreams and aspirations, be tenacious and courageous and never give up on your dreams. Believe in the Creator who holds the power over all things created but always remember that success also comes with sacrifices and sacrifice comes in many forms. As one reads my book, it will encourage the reader who was just about to call it quits; he or she will realize that the efforts they have already utilized in thought or action was well worth it. The creator speaks to us when the creator is ready to move us, but we will only hear the quiet voice when we remove our religious cloak and concentrate on the creator.
