Myron and Pia: A Blackmon Ranch Novella

After nine months away from Blackmon Ranch, Pia felt how great she had it there. Most days at the ranch, she worked eight hours and rarely on weekends, not to mention three meals Monday through Friday and two on the weekends. Working for herself was great but the twelve hour days and calls on Saturday was rugged. It was midday Saturday and she was just off a call and was hungry. Her options were DoorDash or cook something and cooking wasn't going to happen. She wanted a shower, a plate filled with delicious food and her bed. Myron was in Texas with Blade until Sunday. She picked up her folder with menus but placed it on the table when the doorbell rang. She opened the door to a food delivery. Her puzzled expression made the delivery guy chuckle."Ma'am, this food is from Blackmon Ranch, Mr. Myron had me deliver all the way out here. I assure you it's still fresh and hot." The delivery guy said. A huge smile covered her face, just the night before on a call she mentioned to Myron missing Juan's chicken."Thanks for making the drive. Let me get you a tip." The driver held up his hand."Mr. Myron took care of it." She thought. He takes care of me.
