Bol Manda National Park is a biodiversity reserve rich in flora and fauna that has been deteriorating since the droughts of the 1970s. Joint efforts by the government and development partners such as the UNDP and French Cooperation are intended to help preserve the park, but for how long? The study titled "Natural Resource Dynamics and Co-management of Manda Park" is part of a research project assessing the natural resources of this rapidly changing environment. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the evolution of the park's biodiversity through a diachronic analysis of available visual records. To this end, the gravitational model was used, revealing a three-phase evolution: a progressive increase in both fauna and flora between 1951 and 1970, followed by a decline from 1970 to 1989, marked by the disappearance of certain species such as the Derby eland. Finally, a period of relative recovery of the fauna between 1989 and 2002, thanks to management efforts led by the government and its partners.
