Do you remember what it means to be alive? The line between a living nightmare and a waking reality has blurred so completely that the steady beat of your heart feels like the rhythm of a stranger. Once, an unknown boy awakens from a violently fractured sleep, troubled by the lingering of a visceral nightmare that he cannot clearly recall, leaving him trembling and with watery eyes. But he still has a past to cling to, yet it has no name, and only a sense of impending doom in his thoughts. Rising and mechanically preparing himself, he is soon greeted by the piercing, piercing wind of the mountain town of Thukristein, its howling through the cobblestone streets. Wandering in crushing solitude along the town's long, desolate alleys, he soon becomes aware of his surroundings. Stray dogs, murmuring locals, the distant sound of everyday life has ceased to exist, replaced by a silence that is not merely the absence of noise, but heavy and deliberate. What happened to everyone? Were they erased by Thukristein's shadows? And, WHAT will happen to the boy?
