NEMESIS: THE GATEKEEPERS: 1

Two men. One destiny. A world balanced on the knife-edge between mercy and ruin. In the shadow of ancient Rome, omens darken the skies and the gods play a ruthless game. They bind their power into two mortal lives to restore a shattered world: one sworn to the light, and one forged in darkness. Michael, orphan and soldier, is the churches quiet miracle- beloved by creatures, tested by grief, and haunted by visions of crimson eyes. Nathan, the king's favored warrior, rose from a childhood of brutality with one blade and a vow: to make the world remember his name in fear. They haunt one another dreams as they are pulled toward a reckoning neither can escape. As seagulls gather over the fallen crows blot out the dawn, Rome braces for war. From the Tiber's Banks to Janiculum's walls, legends awaken - kings, commanders, and the restless dead, while two "gods among men" march towards a collision that will decide whether the age to come belongs to hope or to hell. The Gate Keepers is an opening movement of an epic saga - where history and myth entwine, and the fate of empires hangs on the choices of two souls.
