For Miles Gether, a former valiant member of the United States Armed Forces, this word highlights his purpose and how far he's willing to go to establish himself within the gruesome, post-apocalyptic world that has unfolded in the months following his discharge from the Military. In an attempt to prosper in an otherwise hopeless situation, Miles consolidates a formidable force within New York City, otherwise known as the Thrivers. Inevitably, some bonds are made while others are severed. With the Thrivers expanding their reach throughout the Boroughs, everything seems to be going in the direction it should. Yet through a seemingly endless array of betrayals, hubris, and lack of judgment, Miles's progression is knocked off its path, as he soon finds himself consistently struggling with maintaining what he set out to achieve in the first place: Control.
