Bol He came north following a voice he couldn't explain. >The Nisse have kept this land for generations. They owe nothing to the southern god whom Nicholas worships, and they did not ask for a bishop. What's more, their fearsome leader, Krampus, lurks on the peripheral of village life, demanding worship of his own. When the interloping priest interferes with Krampus' established order, a confrontation looms that will forever change Nicholas, the villagers, and even the Nisse. A story about a saint who rediscovers the meaning of humility and faith. A story about what happens when old powers face the light that comes to the north. "Nicholas and the Nisse" offers a unique new take on the Christmas fable of Saint Nicholas and his mythical journey from Myra to the fabled North Pole.
