No One Lives in Alva Anymore

After finding Quinton McCall passed out in a ditch over a year ago, Lorabelle Brim has helped manage his curious malady by locking him in an abandoned factory come the full moon...until the night the door fails and he escapes. When the body of a prominent Alva farmer's wife turns up mauled in a ravine, Lorabelle and Quinton must cover their tracks and find a new way to keep him restrained. But as more people turn up dead, tensions in Alva begin to rise, and paranoia seeps into the cracks of a community fractured by a nationwide Depression. Logic tells Lorabelle to put Quinton out-to protect herself and Bea, the mouthy, morbid, orphan girl in her care-but Lorabelle is determined to keep this family of misfits together. And Quinton is determined to keep the secrets of his past hidden in the shadows, where memories of a preternatural bite, loved ones laid to rest, and a silver-tongued preacher named Jonah stay locked away.
