Nobel Peace Prize From Isolated Classrooms to Sustainable Futures SDG

Educational deprivation in Indonesia's 3T regions (Tertinggal, Terdepan, Terluar - underdeveloped, frontier, outermost) is not merely a development failure but a direct threat to peace. Chronic infrastructure deficits (10,000 damaged schools, 10,692 without internet), teacher retention crises (positions unfilled since 2021), and curriculum collapse have fueled economic despair, horizontal inequality, separatism, and vulnerability to extremism. This nomination presents the results of a 36 month impact evaluation and mitigation framework that applies a participatory ADDIE model to align education policy, teacher empowerment, and curriculum innovation with SDG 4 targets. Positive impacts include: a 34.2% improvement in teacher TPACK scores, 27.3% gain in student literacy, 15% reduction in teacher turnover, 47.2% digital adoption in pilot schools, and delivery of solar powered satellite internet and smartboards to 33,182 3T schools. Negative impacts (e.g., persistent numeracy gaps, intermittent connectivity) are being addressed through a phased mitigation roadmap (2025-2030+).
