Not perfect. But responsible.: Leadership, responsibility and the life behind it.

Anyone who carries responsibility reaches a point sooner or later where the tools stop being enough. Where methods and models shatter against a reality bigger than any plan. For more than ten years Markus Alburg has led a team as a Meister - the German qualification for a certified production foreman - on the shop floor of an industrial plant. This book is what he learned in that time. Not from seminars, but from real situations, his own mistakes and long nights. There are no ten-point plans here. Instead, an honest reflection on what leading actually asks of a person: that you know your own stance, and that you are willing to stand behind it. On ego, envy and being overwhelmed. On the difference between holding a title and carrying responsibility. On what it costs, and why it is worth it anyway.Leadership from the German shop floor - for everyone who leads, is led, or is about to take responsibility for the first time.Originally published in German as "Nicht perfekt. Aber verantwortlich."
