Nuclear Silence

Six years after the nuclear war, Great Britain is only a shadow of the country it once was. The sky is the colour of ash. The cities are silent. Roads are overgrown, forests have become unfamiliar, and meeting another person more often means danger than rescue.Luke has lived alone in the Lake District for years. The war took his home, his old world, and the woman whose voice still returns to him in his dreams. He is no longer searching for a future. Each day is simply another one he has to survive. Then one morning he witnesses the brutal death of a boy. Before he dies, the boy speaks of a place on the other side of the English Channel. Of France. Of Belgium. Of people who may have survived. For Luke, those words are the first trace in years that somewhere out there his brother might still be alive.Luke leaves the only shelter he has left and sets out through the ruins of Great Britain - through dead cities, abandoned roads, tunnels, hunger, fear, and people who have learned to survive at any cost.He is not going in search of glory. He is not going to save the world. He is going to find the last person who might still connect him to who he once was.Nuclear Silence is a raw, emotional post-apocalyptic novel about loneliness, loss, loyalty, and the hope that arrives not when the world becomes better, but when a person takes the next step anyway.
