Malcolm McDowell reprises his role as Mick Travis in Lindsay Anderson's blackly satirical follow-up to 'If....' (1968). Mick is determined to become a success in the business world and gets his first break from Imperial Coffee manager Mr. Duff (Arthur Lowe), who offers him a position as a salesman. This small taste of success leads Mick on a journey in which he experiences a number of strange and sometimes surreal encounters. Throughout the film, the majority of the actors play multiple roles, while Alan Price provides the songs on the soundtrack.
