Once Upon a Mountain

After a chance collision on a crowded train platform in Novi Pazar, Isabelle finds herself drawn into the orbit of the Bukovic family and their secluded mountain estate. Far from home and surrounded by unfamiliar customs, language barriers, and expectations she never anticipated, Isabelle must navigate a world that is both quietly welcoming and deeply rooted in tradition. The man at the center of it all is guarded, sharp-tongued, and bound to responsibilities he cannot escape. What begins as tension and misunderstanding slowly evolves into something deeper, built through shared routines, cultural friction, and moments of connection neither of them expected. As Isabelle faces the pull between the life she left behind and the one unfolding before her, the mountain becomes more than a setting-it becomes a test. Staying means confronting truths she's avoided. Leaving may mean losing more than she's ready to give up.Once Upon a Mountain is a character-driven romance about belonging, identity, and love that grows quietly but irrevocably in a place that refuses to be ignored.
