One Hundred Hours of Hope

Port-au-Prince, 1950. The city is in high spirits for the celebration of its bicentennial. Freshly arrived in the Haitian capital, Solon Férila juggles odd jobs and rations everything to make ends meet. While he actively participates in the transformation of the town that will also host a World Fair, he is far from imagining where his burning ambition will lead him. In this vibrant city, aspirations and dreams abound as well for Emilio Cantave, the young visionary from a commercial district. Born in a large family, he works tirelessly to save their small business from the debts that threaten its survival. But the worries of the lower and of the working class seem far removed from the aspirations of Christian Grégoire and Augustin Montrose, two friends from the Haitian elite. While one lives only for the festive and spectacular aspects of the World Fair, the other is focused on winning over the woman of his dreams.A dance marathon will become the perfect excuse for each of them to reach their goal. For 100 hours, the four young men will meet and cross paths on the same dance floor, putting their resilience to the test. Who will triumph? Solon and his desire to escape extreme poverty?
