Order of traditions and archeology sacredness in Babimbi country

This book is a compendium of archaeological work carried out in an area of Cameroon's Littoral named Babimbi, whose archaeological wealth has been recognized since the first archaeological collections. Botko, to be precise, has been studied since 2013 by a team of archaeologists led by Ngo Mboua Charlie. It is characterized by stone and ceramic structures. In addition to morphological analysis, certain ceramic shards have been subjected to luminescence dating, X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and thermal analysis. From the outset, the sacred nature of the site became apparent. The author combines the results of physical chemistry with what she calls "ritualistic" analysis, in order to reconstitute the gestures constituting the ritual between the 8th and 17th centuries CE. The sacredness of this site, in the light of discoveries dating from the colonial period in the region, comes as no surprise to the author. Other sites had already yielded sacred remains.
