Big screen anime feature. While walking in the forest, a boy named Agito comes across a machine which has been keeping a girl named Toola in suspended animation for the past 300 years. When she finally awakens, she discovers that Earth has been radically changed by the experiments that her father was conducting all those years ago, resulting in the forest taking on a sentient life all of its own. Along with a friend from the past, Shunack, she sets about using old technology to try and return the earth to the way it was, but soon realises this is a wrong move. Now, with the help of Agito, she fights to protect the world in its present state, and tries to create a balance between humanity and nature.
