Outpatient occupational therapy is set to take its rightful place in the multimodal treatment of children with behavioural difficulties. Whilst a large number of occupational therapy treatment proposals for working with such children have been published in the recent past, the specific interpersonal situation and the necessary foundational occupational therapy work with primary school-aged children exhibiting aggressive behavioural difficulties have, however, been largely overlooked. Information on the targeted selection of suitable, subject-specific assessment tools in this context has also been neglected in the occupational therapy literature to date. This paper presents a possible approach to bridging these gaps.
