The Centre is a multimillion-dollar partnership involving ten research institutes, more than 48 industry partners, and the Australian Government. The book shares knowledge on innovative ways to improve the food industry’s productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability. The role of packaging in reducing food waste is examined across ten chapters authored by a variety of scholars and practitioners working in food waste reduction. The unique approach to the topic is guided by scholarly literature, empirically based evidence from consumer and behavioral research, industry and governmental insights.
