Paint Defects on Plastic Parts in the Motorcycle Sector

The aim of this book is to show the emergence of different defects in the painting process, describing the problems of direct approval of the painting of plastic parts and the activities carried out in the production process in the automotive sector. For this work, a quantitative, qualitative and descriptive study was carried out in the form of a technical visit to a company located in the Manaus Industrial Estate. The results obtained were a reduction in defects by switching from the ABS painting process to the ASA process, which uses pigments that give metallic effects to plastic parts. In addition, losses in movement, processing and waiting were reduced, knowing that the search for better performance and advantages in the quality of their processes will be constantly adapting to meet the needs of the market.
