PAN TADEUSZ The first adaptation of Adam Mickiewicz's poem made by the outstanding pre-war director Ryszard Ordyński. The film was thought as a series of vivid images inspired by Michał Elwiro Andriolli's drawings from the 1881 Pan Tadeusz printed edition. Fragments of the literary original were used in the intertitles. The film's premiere on the 10th anniversary of Poland regaining independence became a great event in which President Ignacy Mościcki and Marshal Józef Piłsudski took part. Digitally restored film.
