All societies in the world have recognized that the enjoyment of the highest attainable standards of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic and social conditions. This idea envisages that every country designs its health programs in a matter that can meet the requirements of the last man in the society. India, like many other developing countries is faced with the task of providing health care services to its growing population. India is faced with the tasks of providing medical care to its rural masses, molding its medical education in tune with its native requirements and building a holistic and integrated health machinery from the central down to the grassroots level in the country. Although there is concern for the health of the poor masses from the international level to the local levels. Hence India is trying to provide health care facilities to the rural people by the mechanism of Panchayati Raj Institutions.
