Paper Garden: ENIGMA Volume 7

Paper Garden is the seventh volume of ENIGMA, the University of Exeter's literary journal, bringing together an international collection of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and script from emerging writers.This year, our themes invite us into a more contemplative space. From Reverie to Constellations, Fracture, Inheritance, and finally Bloom, the collection unfolds like the turning of the seasons, going through moments of beauty, reflection and growth. In a world that can feel so divided, these works highlight the patterns that connect us to one another. They remind us of the importance of standing together and the courage that can be found in creative expression.From reimagined fairytales to foggy marshes and restless nights, this collection encourages us to slow down and look more closely. It asks us to recognise the power of attention and imagination, to seek the small but vital ways in which writing can open perspectives and bring us back to one another.
