Pathophysiology for the Health related Professions

This text aims to fill the demand for a basic pathophysiology textbook designed specifically for students in health-related fields. Assuming no prior knowledge it covers disease processes, aetiology, and manifestations for most major health problems as well as less common disorders, providing descriptions of the associated diagnostic tests and treatments. By mastering these concepts the student should have a more informed basis for taking a medical and drug history, scheduling client care, recognizing clients' health limitations, understanding the side effects of drugs and radiation, and spotting problems in a timely fashion. They should also learn to work more effectively with other members of the health care team.
