This study focuses on the question of what support the specialist literature offers to promote peace education. To examine this topic in greater detail, the methods of mediation, communication and violence prevention were analysed. An examination of these approaches revealed that the 'Conflict Resolution Programme' is an example of a mediation concept for primary schools, that 'Non-Violent Communication' is a method for improving communication in schools, and that 'Non-Violent Class - Non-Violent School' assists in the implementation of violence prevention. Finally, a number of projects and practical ways of implementing peace education in the classroom were identified.
