Pen & Bones: A Detective Doodle Cozy Mystery: 2

Oliver Murphy has finally settled into Wisperbrook. Mostly. His arts and crafts shop is thriving, his tiny upstairs apartment feels like home, and his unofficial business partner, a judgmental mutt named Jasper, has fully embraced his duties as greeter and professional finder of things best left unfound. Then the Ghost Wranglers come to town.A nationally televised paranormal investigation at the legendary Shiverstone Inn sends Wisperbrook into a full supernatural frenzy. Lalo Bravo is delighted. Shenise Jackson is suspicious. Jasper is mostly hoping ghosts drop snacks.Oliver would rather stay off camera and survive Halloween with his dignity intact, but that plan collapses when Jasper digs up something behind the Inn that is definitely not a chew toy.Soon, a staged séance turns deadly. Sheriff Carter Morgan is back on the case, leaving Oliver wishing their budding relationship didn't always have to involve a murder investigation. Instead, Oliver is suddenly thrust into a world of TV ghost hunters, old family secrets, a theatrical medium, and an ominous curse that's been haunting the town since its founding. Good thing Oliver still has the one tool he trusts most. His sketchbook. He'll have to sketch his way through all the strange details hiding in plain sight to uncover the truth.Because in Wisperbrook, the past doesn't stay buried.
