This work focuses primarily on the popular children's and young adult book series *Percy Jackson* and its sequel *The Heroes of Olympus* by Rick Riordan. However, the main focus is not on their content, but on the extent to which Riordan draws upon Ovid's famous *Metamorphoses*.
