Bol Artemisia campestris L., known as Dgouft, is one of the species widespread in semi-arid, arid, and Saharan bioclimatic zones. The accumulation of organic and inorganic compounds varies from one ecotype to another under climatic constraints. In both ecotypes from the arid region and the pre-Saharan region, a decrease in carotenoid levels was observed. At the same time, there has been an increase in organic compounds, particularly sugars, with 4.18±0.02 µg/g of dry matter for the M'sila ecotype and 3.13±0.06 µg/g of dry matter for the Biskra ecotype. In the semi-arid region (Djelfa), we recorded an increase in plant pigment (carotenoid) content and a decrease in organic compound content, with a value of 3.13±0.06 µg/g MF for sugars and an average of 14±2.61 µg/g MF for proteins. The LD50 value of the aqueous extract of this species obtained during our experiment according to the HODGUE and STERNER scale shows no toxic effect, at 0 g/kg. The fastest and most intense anti-inflammatory effect was observed in the group of mice that received a dose of 0.2 g/ml of the aqueous extract.
