Philosophical Considerations of Computational Consciousness and AI Qualia

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has reignited one of philosophy's oldest and most profound questions: what does it mean to be conscious? As machines increasingly exhibit behaviors once thought to require awareness, the boundary between computation and cognition grows ever more ambiguous. Drawing on philosophy of mind and cognitive science, this inquiry examines whether artificial systems can truly "feel" or whether their apparent consciousness remains an intricate simulation. Philosophical Considerations of Computational Consciousness and AI Qualia explores the possibility of AI developing qualia experienced by humans. This book raises questions on whether AI system can truly feel or only simulate feelings. Covering topics such as AI, ethics, and computational intelligence, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, researchers, teachers, students, and more.
