Placed

Nothing is wrong. Nothing is broken. Everything is exactly as it should be.At least-that's what Amelia is told. After a series of moments she can't fully place, Amelia begins to notice something subtle shifting beneath her reality. Time doesn't move the way it used to. Conversations feel completed before they begin. The people closest to her-her sisters, her mother, even Bo-move with a precision that feels less like coincidence and more like design. Nothing contradicts itself. Nothing resists. And that's what unsettles her most.Because when everything aligns perfectly, when every answer arrives before the question forms, when the world around her agrees without hesitation-there is no space left to doubt it.Or to escape it.As the distance between thought and action dissolves, Amelia is forced to confront a truth that doesn't announce itself, doesn't explain itself, and doesn't leave: what if the structure holding everything together was never meant to be questioned? And what happens when she stops trying?Placed is a slow-burning psychological thriller about control, perception, and the quiet unraveling of reality when nothing appears wrong-and everything feels inevitable.
