This Special Issue, entitled "Planning for Sustainable Urban and Land Development II", collects nine reprinted Land papers to re-examine how modern planning strategies steer urban and regional development toward sustainability, resilience and spatial justice. It delivers global empirical and theoretical research illustrating how planning interventions shape innovation spaces, land governance and urban environments under diverse institutional and territorial backgrounds. From an environmental perspective, multiple articles analyze how urban construction and green-space planning affect ecological quality and resilience. The themes covered include intercity disparities in green space accessibility, real-time street quality evaluation using time-series imagery, residents' attitudes toward informal green areas, and the historical roots of current urban afforestation and greening policies. In socio-spatial terms, other papers investigate planning's impacts on innovation, resilience and equity. Research on innovation districts, shrinking towns and smart cities highlights data-led adaptive development approaches. Concurrently, works addressing community co-creation and land expropriation identify collaborative governance and spatial justice as core pillars of inclusive economic growth.
