Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria are microbes connected with plant roots which can increase plant growth by different methods such as producing plant hormones and molecules to improve plant growth or providing increased mineral nutrition. They are soil bacteria inhabiting on or near the root surface which can secrete different regulatory chemicals. Many plant-associated Pseudomonas live as parasites, and saprophytes inside plant tissues and on plant surfaces. Many plant-associated Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Streptomyces, Serratia, Artherobacter, Rhodococcus, etc. can increase plant growth by promoting increased plant disease resistance, synthesizing growth-stimulating plant hormones, and suppressing pathogenic micro-organisms. The most important component which have significant functions in biocontrol mechanism are lipopeptides, phenazine-1-carboxamide, 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG), pyoluteorin, pyrrolnitrin, and phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA).
