Bol Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Pobedit (¿¿¿¿¿¿¿) is an alloy of carbon (C), tungsten (W) and cobalt (Co). It was invented in the Soviet Union in 1929. Later a number of similar alloys based on tungsten and cobalt were developed. Pobedit is created using powder metallurgy. It is close in hardness to diamond (85-90 on the Rockwell scale). Carbon is the chemical element with symbol C and atomic number 6. As a member of group 14 on the periodic table, it is nonmetallic and tetravalent-making four electrons available to form covalent chemical bonds. Tungsten, also known as wolfram, is a chemical element with the chemical symbol W and atomic number 74. Cobalt is a hard, lustrous, gray metal, a chemical element with symbol Co and atomic number 27. Cobalt-based colors and pigments have been used since ancient times for jewelry and paints, and miners have long used the name kobold ore for some minerals.
