Pocinovice is a village and municipality (obec) in Doma¿lice District in the Plze¿ Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 24.6 square kilometres (9.5 sq mi), and has a population of 534 (as at 28 August 2006). Pocinovice lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Doma¿lice, 50 km (31 mi) south of Plze¿, and 126 km (78 mi) south-west of Prague. Doma¿lice District (Czech: Okres Doma¿lice) is a district (okres) within Plze¿ Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is Doma¿lice. Plze¿ Region (Czech: Plze¿ský kraj) is an administrative unit (kraj) in the western part of Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It is named after its capital Plze¿ (German: Pilsen). Since 2003-01-01 the region has been divided into 15 Municipalities with Extended Competence (corresponding to Communes) which took over most of the administration of the former District Authorities.
